MEET THE FOUNDERS

IT ALL BEGAN WITH AN IDEA

Pictured is Chanell Ketchmore, Troy Ketchmore, and Michelle Griffin. The founders of The Black Excellence Gala in Hampton, VA. These three minds came together just three years ago to create an event dedicated to the recognition of excellence in the African American community. Such excellence can be found in individuals, organizations, entrepreneurs, or business owners that contribute to communities of color. Contributions can include community service, outreach, enrichment, volunteer efforts, services, or providing jobs. These founders are dedicated to hosting a gala so profound that it leaves everyone in attendance with a feeling of doing more and creating more for communities of color. It is the hope of the founders to truly have a night of superb recognition and showcase supreme excellence for our communities.
